What Should You do Prior To Your Hair & Makeup Trial

What Should You Bring To Your Bridal Hair & Makeup Trial

Before Your Bridal Hair & Makeup Trial

What Should You do Prior To Your Hair & Makeup Trial By Jaclynn Kate

Trials are SO important! Just imagine you have have a specific vision of yourself on your wedding day morning & your so excited when your stylist shows up you can't wait to show her the photos of your desired look, for her to then say this look can not be done because you need more hair, longer hair, or you just frankly don't like the look when she's done. Sometimes things look different on other people & when we have the same look on ourselves we simply don't like it.

Trials are completely optional however we recommend them 100% to every one of our brides. Our goal is to deliver you with that "wow' moment on your wedding morning. Prior to your bridal trial we suggest you come into the salon with a clean face and hair that was washed the night before, not that morning. Please please please drink lot's of water & take care of your skin! Makeup can only do so much! This is very important to keep your skin clear & hydrated. We encourage our brides to have an idea of what they would like to have done. This meaning please bring in photos of hair & makeup styles you'd like to try. This will help us to be on the same page. You can google images or you can look through pinterest for some ideas.

Sometimes when a bride comes in for a 'natural makeup' look, they get what they asked for to then turn around & say mmm maybe it's too natural & then end up wanting a smoke eye. Lol it happens & it's okay that it happens, however coming prepared for your trial helps you & the artist to give you your desired look.

Don't know where to start? Im assuming you want to still look like yourself, just 'done'. My recommendation is to think about how you like your hair best. Do you wear it all down 99% of the time or are you comfortable with it in an updo? I would try to stay away from a look you feel iffy about, make sure you can see yourself with the style walking down the isle.  Also keep in mind your wedding dress neck line. Do you want to show off the sweet heart look? Or do you have a backless dress you'd like to show off?

Another suggestion is to come into your trial with a similar color shirt to your wedding dress with a similar neckline.

Just remember your trial will be based off what YOU say you like & dislike. Communication is key!
